Carboxylate Platform Lab
In the Carboxylate Platform Lab, which is housed in
Morrison Hall, pretreatment systems and bioreactors for biomass conversion
are operated. This lab is equiped with all analytical facilities necessary
to perform microcosm, bench-scale bioreactors, and pilot-scale reactors.
Our focus in this lab is to convert high-strenght organic wastes into
either methane gas or medium-chain carboxylic acids, such as caproic
acid.
